You were chosen…
And your being chosen was in accord with the Heavenly Father’s purpose.
Do you remember a time when you were chosen? How did it feel?
Perhaps for a sports team? Perhaps for a special award? Perhaps you won a raffle or a draw down?
There was a joy…a happiness.
And yet you were chosen by God…by your Heavenly Father!
A purpose dedicated…a purpose approved…a purpose affirmed…yes all by your Heavenly Father.
CHOSEN by your Heavenly Father.
PICKED FOR A PURPOSE by your Heavenly Father.
Let us renew and rest in this truth…in this joy.
“In Him we were also CHOSEN, destined in accord with the purpose of the One who accomplishes all things according to the intention of His will, so that we might exist for the praise of His glory, we who first hoped in Christ.” Eph 1:11-12

Chosen.

Reblogged this on In Love With The Lord and commented:
I needed to feel chosen this morning and here was this post to remind me of Abba;a love.
Well thank you Martha…May you feel “CHOSEN” every morning! Blessings.
I first read this on Martha’s blog, and thought I would share the comment I posted on her blog:
“Dear Martha,
Thank you for re-blogging this post. I was in a severely abusive marriage and was beaten unconscious…but I know God and His Angels woke me up and got me away, so that I may turn to Him and receive His blessings. Yes, I was chosen to raise three children on my own, and withstand assaults from the evil one. But now my sons are all grown up, and are awesome men of God. Praise His Holy Name!
love, Bee”
Yes Bee…Praise His Holy Name! Bountiful Blessings on your day!
“Chosen” . . . one of the richest blessings from the Lord – chosen by Him and adopted into His own family!
As one who was extremely abused for 22 years, including by three “fathers” these truths held special meaning for me. Now, after 53 years of being His chosen and adopted, much loved child, I praise Him for all His never-failing blessings.
What an amazing God!
How precious you are to praise Him in the midst of such trials. God is reigning in your heart. Abundant blessings for you this day…yes….He is an amazing God!
Love it! God Bless 🙂
thanks poeticjourney….bountiful blessings!
True… we are all chosen for some purpose… 😉
Amen….God bless you eof737!
God does indeed choose us for good J as His Redeemed Children, He does not choose for us to suffer Hardship to be abandoned by our parents to be abused and deserted by our husbands, to be left with the care and responsibility of raising Children on our own, to be molested, bashed and raped… to be disabled or aborted, we do not, I repeat, we do not have a sadistic God … He chose us to bear good fruit not to be damaged goods, evil is not from His hand it is from sin in the world and when people stop blaming God for the evil that they see and what happens to them even if they sugar coat it…they will know His Joy to the fullest… and know without a doubt that He will carry us through the Storms of life not cause them.
Stop and consider, how would you like your Loved ones to blame you for what they suffer, did you plan harm for then, did you willing choose for them to be hurt to teach them something…. stop this evil imaginings, your taking about our God of Love who can do no evil and you grieve Him when you do so and me.
Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
In His Powerful Name – Anne
God is good…He is love…all good things come from His hand. And that which is not good, which is a result of our broken free wills and sinfulness, He is able to turn to glory and good. Anne, you misinterpret my words. God’s plan is always good and full of love but our human minds cannot grasp the totality of it.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways above your ways and my thoughts above your thoughts.” Is 55 8-9
Sorry J that you think so but I do not misinterpret your words, you contradict yourself like many do who do not understand the Heart of God, but I’m pleased you want to reason and want to correct error even if you think it is mine. I care for my Brothers and Sisters in The Lord even if I’m rejected when I correct them but it is very sad when they reject Scripture and depend on their own understanding or others.
To quote you …God is in control of all things and there is a purpose and a reason behind all even if now in this life we do not understand the mystery of suffering. God’s discipline IS love
To quote you again… God is good…He is love…all good things come from His hand. And that which is not good, which is a result of our broken free wills and sinfulness, He is able to turn to glory and good.
These are contradictions, also we can understand the things of God now we are under a new Covenant in Christ Jesus, as you can see below, you can’t have the mind of Christ and not understand the things of God, if you have no understanding you are not Born again of God’s seed. 1 John 3: 9, we are to ask for His wisdom with all our heart so we can understand, Jesus is our only Teacher.
1 Corinthians 2 9- 16 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with Spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned. But he that is Spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? but we have the Mind of Christ.
Christian Love Anne
Sorry J … I didn’t post this Scripture correctly it reads ..
1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
Kind regards Anne
He calls us: how? By our very own name! Such blessed members of God’s family we are. He uses no Rolodex,no digital address book, no GPS, no Yellow Pages or 411 cell phone services. He just chooses us and calls us by name! Incredible blessing, this!
