Make it a Place of Springs…..

“As they go through the Bitter Valley, they make it a place of springs”(Ps86)

Be the bearer of the water from the well…

Be the water struck from the rock…

Be the water calmed by His word…

Be the water poured forth from His side…

Yes, as you go through the Bitter Valley of this day…

Make it a place of springs….

Allowing a current of grace to flow from you to others…

Yes, making it a place of springs.

I Challenge You…

Resolutions focus on changing something we perceive as wrong in our lives. Beginning with the negative often ends in the negative.  How about starting 2015 with the positive? With ONE WORD. ONE WORD that represents a new focus, a new outlook, a special quality that marks the way ahead.  Words are powerful…a single work can inspire, motivate, connect, build up and forge a path forward if that ONE WORD becomes a signpost on our journey.  I challenge each of you to prayerfully ask God to reveal to you ONE WORD, YOUR ONE WORD, for the path ahead this year. Then post this word somewhere you frequent, ponder it, chew on it, allow it to transform!

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language…And net year’s words await another voice.” T. S. Eliot

Happy New Year 2015

Buzzing of Bee Thoughts…

The buzzing of bee thoughts…humming in the head…

prevent living the glory of the present moment…

with stings of future and past.

The soft gentle rain that hinders the bees’ busyness…

is the mist of fine grace received that quiets the hum…

when all I think, do, or say is brought to Him…

who is the honey of our peace.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you.  Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. ” John 14:27

Live the SHOCK…

God has put “timelessness” in our hearts…

Let us live this SHOCK in the midst…

of the time constrained culture we walk in…

How will you live the timelessness this day?

I have considered the task which God has appointed for men to be busied about.  He has made everything appropriate to its time, and has put the timeless into their hearts, without men’s ever discovering, from beginning to end, the work which God has done. ” Ecc3: 10-11

The Beauty of Becoming…

Have you ever looked into the eyes of others and seen the beauty of their becoming?

A beauty intertwined with the reality of their brokenness?

For grafted to Love eternal, brokenness is but the sap of transformation.

His gaze upon us penetrates the masks of the false self and draws us into the becoming.

Will you meet His gaze?

An Epic Poem to be Savored….

Official permission to slow down one’s life…

is like being given an epic poem yet to be savored.

Give thanks for those things in life that sloooooow down one’s steps….

for truly the mind and the heart soon follow. (I promise)

“Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. ” James 1:2-3.

Living the Punctuation Marks…

If God’s presence is the present in the present, I must live the punctuation marks that delineate the day.

The completeness of the period…the confusion of the question…the what’s next of the comma…the connectedness of the colon…the passion of the exclamation point…the skipping ahead of the dash.

If not…

the busyness of my day only leads to run-on sentences and fragments.

His will is my WordPerfect that authors the poorly written novel of my life and edits those grammatical errors that hinder its meaning.

The present of His Presence in the punctuation of my present…

May this day I yield to the red pen and allow all that does not flow into His purposeful order be whited out.

May I live the Punctuation!

Laced Up Hiking Boots?…

There are times one is given a foreshadowing of life’s hill ahead…

It can be daunting.

But it’s not about how far you travel daily or even how quickly you journey.

It’s all about showing up each new day, with hiking boots laced up, ready to climb, step by step.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta says, “God does not require that we be successful, only that we be faithful.”

line“But he said to me, ‘ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.’ I will rather boast most gladly of my weakness, in order that the power of Christ dwell with me.”  2 Co 12:9

A Mess?…

Let Jesus take your mess…

And turn it into a message.

“The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Co 1:18

Have a blessed weekend, From the heart of j
